Studio South has been blessed over the years with the opportunity to give its children a chance to receive financial assistance to pursue their dreams, thanks to a very special lady, Mrs. Pat "Mama" Morrell.
Victoria Lynden dedicates this scholarship program to her Aunt Pat, for giving us the faith to soar and for others to have the opportunity to emulate Pat Morrell's strength and courage. Mama Morrell has graciously donated money since 2006 for children from the Brunswick/St. Simons Island community to have their tuition paid to participate in dance at Studio South Performing Arts Center. She truly has been a blessing in touching the lives of others, and she is very loved and respected at the studio.
The Pat Morrell Scholarship hopes to give all dancers the opportunity to use dance as a tool to help develop the internal confidence they need to be successful in life. These traits include developing a strong work ethic through practice and rehearsals, self-determintaion, self-seteem, a positive attitude about life, and respect for others while interacting with a diverse group.
